Since 2018, Thornton Community Centre has been run by a group of volunteers. In 2019, we obtained Charity status, which enables us to keep the centre open and to continue our improvements.

In the last 3 years, we have increased the usage of the centre to include many new groups. There are new fitness & wellbeing classes, new opportunities to meet with friends and fellow residents for a chat and something to eat, bring families together for celebrations and provide entertainment with the Sunday Cinemas, Open Days and Christmas Fairs.
